Experienced teachers at the Pompey Study Centre have produced a wide range of quality teaching resources for use with local schoolchildren. Portsmouth schools have greatly benefited from these educational resource packs to support much of the National Curriculum and current themes or events happening within the city. The packs contain numerous lesson ideas and quality resource materials such as local photos, local historical documentation, additional DVDs, CDs and child worksheets for Key Stages One to Three. Global Challenge
The Global Challenge Education Pack provides activities for Key Stages 1-3 and is linked to many aspects of sailing and the Global Challenge event. All activities are linked into the National Curriculum, meeting objectives in Literacy, Numeracy, Science, Geography, History, ICT, Art, Design Technology, Music and Physical Education. Activities for PHSE have also been included. A matrix to illustrate these National Curriculum links for Key Stages 1 & 2 precedes the activities.

Portsmouth Remembers World War II
The 'Portsmouth Remembers' Educational Activities Pack provides activities for Key Stages 1, 2 & 3. They are specifically focused upon the effects of World War Two on Portsmouth and its people. All activities have National Curriculum links, meeting objectives in English, Mathematics, History, Geography, Art, Citizenship and PHSE. Each activity lists the relevant links. The activities can be used in isolation or incorporated into aspects of the QCA Units 9 (What was it like for children during the Second World War?) and 18 (Hot war, cold war, why did the major twentieth-century conflicts affect so many people?) A large variety of additional support materials are included in the resources section. Including Audio CD’s and a DVD.

Brunel 200 Educational Resource Pack
The Brunel 200 Educational Activities Pack provides activities for Key Stages 1 & 2. They have a specific Victorian Portsmouth theme, with additional activities to commemorate the life of Isambard Brunel, who was born in Portsmouth. All activities have been linked to the National Curriculum, meeting specific objectives in History and Design Technology, with additional links to English, Mathematics, Science, Geography, Art Citizenship and PHSE. Additional support materials are included in the pack including census return, photographs and a unique DVD depicting the rapid rebuild of Copnor Bridge.

Kick Start Health
The Kick Start Health pack provides focused activities for Key Stage 2, related to healthy eating and exercise. All activities link to the National Curriculum, meeting specific objectives in Science, English, Mathematics, ICT, Design Technology and PHSE. The activities also link to a number of QCA units and address a key aspect of the Every Child Matters agenda related to healthy lifestyles.
